Writhe and stamp on new-mown lawns
In front of stiff lines of suited delegates.
Just two hours away, the Masai are surviving
On their own, fighting their hunger, losing
Their
cattle in drought after drought.
From the hotel, the aroma of sizzling beef
Rises with the smoke
from a barbecue
Of communiques and press releases.
